FISH CURRY MASALA
Fish Curry is one of the most favourite and delicious food varieties in South India. It has some authenticity in the taste. INGREDIENTS

(Kingfish, Red snapper)
MARINATE FISH FRY
*Before marinate wash the fish thoroughly with crystal salt and wild turmeric.
- If the fish you chose is King Fish then cut them into fine slice or the fish you chose is Red snapper cut their fins and just have their body with or without head.
- 1 egg white
- 1½ tbsp of corn flour
- ¼ tbsp of wild turmeric
- 3 to 4 tbsp of red chilli powder
- 2 tbsp of ginger garlic paste
- Salt
- 2 tbsp of lemon juice
- Oil for frying
COCONUT PASTE
- 3 tbsp of grated coconut
- water
TAMARIND MIX
- A lemon size of tamarind
- ¼ cup of water
FISH MASALA
- 4 tbsp Travis fish curry masala
- 2 medium size onion, finely chopped
- 3 tomatoes of medium size, grind it and have a paste
- Crystal salt to taste
- Sesame oil for sauteing
- Curry leaves
- Coriander for garnishing
- 1 tbsp of urad dal
- 1 tbsp of mustard
- 1½ tbsp of red chilli powder
- Water
INSTRUCTIONS
MARINATE AND FRY FISH
- Put your fishes in a large bowl and add the egg white first. Coat them well, later add 2 tbsp of ginger garlic paste, 1½ of corn flour, 3 to 4 tbsp of red chilli powder as per the spice level you need, then add salt as per your requirement. Mix and coat them well with the spices and leave them to marinate about 20 mins
- After that pour oil and let them heat, after that fry the fishes.
- Lastly sprinkle the lemon juice on the fish
All set to serve them on your plates.
COCONUT PASTE
- Grate the coconut well and add little water and make it as a thick paste.
TAMARIND MIX
- In a small bowl soak the tamarind with water and just give them a mix with your bare hand. Let them sit for 15 mins. Remove the tamarind and small bits out of water. Let the tamarind juice be there aside.
FISH MASALA
- Take a pan pour 6 tbsp of sesame oil and allow them to heat. Then add 1 tbsp of mustard and 1 tbsp of urad dal, curry leave, allow them to temper. Add the chopped onions and let them fry until it turns into golden brown.
- Add the tomato pure and sauté them well. Meanwhile add the crystal salt for fast cooking. Season them with wild turmeric and red chilli powder and Traviz fish curry masala. Let them be at sim for about 5 to 10 mins.
- When the oil separates from the masala add water according to your requirement and allow them to boil until the water sets with the masala. Check the salt and if needed add the required.
- Lastly add four to five number of fishes and allow them to boil for about 10 mins. After that garnish them with coriander.
Tadaaaa…. It is ready to serve. You can enjoy them for your lunch as well as for your dinner with roti or dosa or idly.
